Sea to Sky

Sea to Sky

The other day we to a drive up to Whistler to do some shopping at the athletes village and take in some sights. The drive up to Whistler on the Sea to Sky Highway is one of the best Highways that I’ve driven on and probably one of the most scenic roads in Canada. The best part of the drive is that you get a completely different view on the way there and on the way back.

We stopped at a scenic viewpoint on the way home and I planned on taking a series of photos for maybe a triptych for above our couch.. but it turns out the settings on my camera changed to the shutter priority setting and all my photos were blown out and un useable. Oh well.. I guess it just means I’ll have to drive up there again for some more scenic photos.

The photo above is the only photo that I could salvage and looked way better in Black & White. Something about seeing mountain photos in Black & White makes it way better in my mind.

19 Months Old

It’s amazing how time flies. Just yesterday I can remember Noah being born.. and now here he is 19 months old. Soon enough he will be 2..3…4… yikes! It seems like everyday he is learning and growing. It’s amazing to watch him carefully learn something and then want to do it again and again.

Here are the photos from the quickest photo session yet:

Noah on 3rd Beach

Yesterday we visited 3rd Beach at Stanley Park. Noah absolutely loves running around on the beach when the tide is out. He ventured into the water for the first time too.. Check out the video of him splashing around above!

Noah

I wrote Noah’s name on the bottom of his Buzz Lightyear action figure. Thought it was appropriate.

Noah, a Shovel and a Piece of Seaweed

Yesterday Chantelle and I brought Noah to the beach for the start of a new Birthday tradition. I think it was the first time Noah had actually seen some sort of waves so he was taken a little aback. I love this video as you can see him watching the waves roll in for the first time. He had his trusty red shovel and of course, some seaweed that he picked up zombie walking across the beach to the waters edge.

And here are the photos of the day:

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Lets hear it for Chantelle! Happy Birthday!!

Here’s my fav pic from a month or so back of my 2 favourite people!

Noah and I woke up early.. (well, we both are early birds so we woke up at 8:30, which was sleeping in for both of us) and coloured this picture for mom. Noah asked if I could write the letters as he’s more used to expressing his creativity with lines and randomness. Here’s his creation:

Just Laughing

Sometimes the best part of Noah is his personality. He’s always happy and always entertaining! If you ever want the chance to be around the most awesome person, then Noah is it. Here are some photos of Noah just laughing.

Having his cake and smashing it too

Having his cake and smashing it too

Chantelle was away on a mini trip to visit her family out in Saskatchewan so I decided to make Noah a birthday cake all on my own! I documented every step just to prove that I actually did bake the cake…as well how crazy I am. Noah loved his cake, he was a bit hesitant of digging right in, but I account that for it being out of the fridge for a short while and that he didn’t want to smash up such a beautiful cake.

Here are my documented photos of the first ever birthday cake that I made for Noah.

It actually tasted really good too! But.. I mean.. it was from a box.. so how much could I screw that up.. right?
